Zuid-Afrika, officieel de Republiek Zuid-Afrika, is een land dat aan de zuidpunt van Afrika ligt….De drie hoofdsteden van Zuid-Afrika zijn:
- Pretoria (bestuurlijke macht)
- Kaapstad (wetgevende macht)
- Bloemfontein (rechterlijke macht)
Waarom denk je dat het belangrijk was dat Zuid-Afrika in 1994 een nieuwe vlag adopteerde?
De huidige nationale vlag van Zuid-Afrika werd in gebruik genomen op 27 april 1994. Dit was het einde van de apartheid, waarna er een wijdverspreid gevoel ontstond dat de vroegere nationale vlag moest worden vervangen vanwege zijn racistische connotaties in de ogen van veel Zuid-Afrikanen.
