Wat betekent HDR10?

Wat is HDR10 plus?
HDR10+ is een verbetering op de huidige standaarden High Dynamic Range (HDR) en HDR10. Als geavanceerde versie van HDR10 voegt HDR10+ dynamische metadata toe aan elk frame.
Wat is HDR10 Pro?
Bij HDR10 en HDR10+ is de kleurdiepte begrensd tot 10 bit, bij Dolby Vision bedraagt die 12 bit. Dat verschil lijkt op papier klein, maar het maakt een groot verschil uit. Met 10 bit kan de contentmaker kiezen uit 1024 schaduwen van elke primaire kleur, goed voor meer dan een miljard mogelijke kleuren.

PS 10 bit panels don’t really have anything to do with the HDR 10 standard. The main thing to look for in regards to colour is wide colour gamut and as good covered of the rec2020 colour space as possible. Yes 10 bit panels do this better overall but there are also 8 bit panels with wide colour gamuts and 10 bit ones without.
