Waarom vitamine D op waterbasis?
Vitamine D wordt beter opgenomen als er vet of olie in het lichaam aanwezig is. Daarom kun je de druppels op waterbasis het beste na een maaltijd geven. Verder zitten in druppels op waterbasis meer ingrediënten dan in druppels op oliebasis, zoals suiker. Dit zorgt voor een smaakverschil.
Waar zit E 320 in?
Propylgallaat is een antioxidant en is toegelaten als synthetisch voedingsadditief met E-nummer E310. Het wordt toegevoegd aan vet- en oliehoudende voedingsmiddelen zoals margarine, slaolie, plantaardige oliën, vetten en aan snoepgoed zoals kauwgum, marsepein of noga.
Welke vitamine D niet goed?
Kinderartsen adviseren ouders om baby’s geen vitamine D-druppels met de toevoeging propylgallaat (E310) te geven. Ze doen dat in reactie op onderzoek van RTL Nieuws waaruit blijkt dat onbekend is of deze stof veilig is voor kinderen onder de 1 jaar.
Is propyl gallate safe to use?

The CIR has approved Propyl Gallate as a safe ingredient in cosmetics and personal care products at concentrations less than or equal to 0.1%.
