Waar wordt het Gilgamesj-epos bewaard?
Oudste verhaal van de mensheid Midden 19e eeuw werden 12 van die tabletten aangetroffen bij archeologische opgravingen in Ninive, een stad in het noorden van Irak, meer bepaald in de ruïnes van de bibliotheek van de Assyrische koning Assurbanipal. Op de tabletten staat het Gilgamesj-epos.
