Hoe verzorg je oregano?
Oregano houdt van een droge grond maar kan zeker niet zonder water; in de maanden dat ze groeit en bloeit heeft ze regelmatig water nodig, maar mag niet nat blijven staan (vandaar het zanderige potgrondmengsel zodat een teveel aan water makkelijker weg kan sijpelen).
Hoe knip je kruiden af?
Kruiden plukken Knip de kruiden liever per takje circa twee centimeter boven de grond af. Zo krijgt de plant de kans om opnieuw te groeien. Na het plukken kun je de kruiden grof of fijn hakken met een koksmes, fijnstampen in een vijzel of met een kruidenschaar in kleine stukjes knippen.

How did this Kent beauty oregano turn into a purple flower?
If you look closely at the picture on the right, you can see the remains of what was once a pale pink flower. as it dried it became a tiny purple flower. This Kent Beauty Oregano was planted from one of our three inch pots and potted into a gallon size container in August.
Does oregano die back in the winter?
Kent Beauty Oregano dies back to the ground in the winter and remerges each spring. The crown gets bigger each spring as the stems reach out and root in different spots in the soil. These stems will elongate until the flower wands take over.
