Welke soorten honing zijn er?
Er bestaan wel meer dan 29 soorten honing. De soort honing hangt af van de bloemsoort waaruit de bij haar nectar vandaan haalt. Zo komt lindehoning van de lindeboom, terwijl bloemenhoning uit verschillende bloemsoorten gehaald kan worden. De verschillende soorten honing hebben ook verschillende smaken en kleuren.
Wat is biologische honing?
Als je honing wilt eten, neem dan biologische honing. Biologische honing komt uit gebieden waar binnen een straal van 5-7 kilometer geen industrie, niet-biologische landbouw of snelwegen voorkomen. Ook halen de bijen de nectar uit natuurgebieden en van niet-genetisch gemanipuleerde planten.
Hoe gezond is biologische honing?
Honing kan best gezond zijn, maar kies dan bij voorkeur voor biologische, rauwe en koudgeslingerde honing die rijk is aan mineralen en enzymen. Dus geen ‘lopende-band-honing’ van bijen die worden gevoed met suikerwater.

Hone is used for a cylindrical tool dressed with some abrasive material. This abrasive material is used in the form of sticks which are mounted on the mandrel.

The hone process was developed to allow for perfection of bore geometry, size control, final surface finish and surface structuring. The honing process provides the final sizing and creates the desired finish pattern on the interior of tubing or cylinder bores.

The surface of a honed workpiece. Honing is an abrasive machining process that produces a precision surface on a metal workpiece by scrubbing an abrasive stone against it along a controlled path.
What are the different types of honing machines?
According to the type of machine this process can be classified into two types 1. Vertical honing 2. Horizontal honing Less complex or low cost fixtures. It is highly accurate. It can be used for both long and short bores. It maintains original bore centerline. Any material can be finished regardless its hardness.
