De object-relatie-theorie beschrijft een aantal stadia in de psychi- sche ontwikkeling van het kind. Ze doet dit aan de hand van de zich steeds wijzigende manier waarop het kind zichzelf beleeft en rela- ties legt met zijn omgeving.
