Er zijn twee correcte spellingen voor de afkorting van algemeen secundair onderwijs: aso en a.s.o. In de meeste contexten kunt u aso zonder puntjes schrijven – naar analogie van bso, kso en tso.
Hoe is de vulkaan de ASO ontstaan?
De huidige Aso-caldera is het resultaat van vier grote caldera-uitbarstingen gedurende een periode tussen de 90.000 en 300.000 jaar geleden. In de caldera, een van de grootste ter wereld, liggen de stad Aso en de gemeenten Takamori en Minamiaso.

Since 1980, more than 70 people have been injured by volcanic gases at Aso and have been hospitalized. 3 people were killed and 11 injured by ballistic blocks ejected by an explosion that occurred at about 1pm local time on 6 September 1979.
