Wat produceert Philips?
In Nederland waren er twee fabrieken en die blijven ook bestaan. Onlangs maakt Philips nog bekend een fabriek in Groot-Brittannië te sluiten en de productie over te brengen naar het Friese Drachten. In Drachten worden onder meer scheerapparaten gemaakt, maar ook andere consumentenproducten, zoals stofzuigers.
Waarom keldert Philips?
De Amerikaanse toezichthouder wil opheldering over het schuim dat in de apparatuur zit. De beurskoers keldert zo’n 10 procent. Er zijn al een tijdje problemen met slaapapneu- en beademingsapparatuur van Philips. Zo zou het schuim dat in de producten zit kunnen verbrokkelen en mogelijk levensbedreigend zijn.
