Wat is een rhonchi?
Rhonchi zijn bijgeluiden die ontstaan bij obstructie van geleidende luchtwegen. Als bij een vernauwing van de luchtwegen de tegenover elkaar liggende bronchuswanden elkaar vrijwel raken, kunnen ze ter plaatse van de vernauwing in trilling komen ten gevolge van het Bernoulli-effect (figuur 1).
