Wat is een Commodore 64 waard?
De eerste exemplaren lagen begin augustus in Amerika in de winkel en kostten 595 dollar. In Nederland kostte de machine in de beginjaren circa 800 gulden (363 euro). De computer, die zijn naam dankte aan de 64 kilobytes werkgeheugen, werd voorafgegaan door de PET en de VIC-20 van dezelfde fabrikant.
Waarom Commodore 64?
Er was veel software voor de C64 beschikbaar, van vermaak tot professioneel. De computer heeft zijn bekendheid voornamelijk te danken aan de talloze spellen die er voor het apparaat zijn ontwikkeld. Bekende namen waren the Last Ninja, Out Run en Maniac Mansion.
