Welke elektrische step mag zonder rijbewijs?
Voor e-steps die volgens de wet als bijzondere bromfiets worden gezien, heb je geen rijbewijs nodig. Denk hierbij aan een Ninebot by Segway E+ of Swing Trike. Voor andere typen, zoals een motorstep of Go-Ped, heb je wel een bromfietsrijbewijs nodig.
Welke e-step is legaal?
De maximumsnelheid is 18 kilometer per uur. De meeste elektrische (scooter)steps zijn niet toegestaan op de openbare weg. Je mag alleen de weg met een e-step op als de overheid (RDW) het type heeft aangewezen als bijzondere bromfiets. Zo zijn bijvoorbeeld de Segway en Swing wel toegestaan.

Welke elektrische step mag op de fietspad?
Steps met een maximum snelheid van 25 km/uur waarbij je niet zelf hoeft te steppen, worden gezien als snorfiets en rijden op het fietspad tenzij anders is aangegeven. Als er geen fietspad is, dan moet je hiermee op de weg rijden (net als fietsers).
