Wat zijn de gevolgen van medrol?
Remt ontstekingen en overgevoeligheidsreacties. Het werkt binnen enkele uren. Wordt gebruikt bij aandoeningen waarbij ernstige ontstekingen een rol spelen (zoals multiple sclerose (MS) en lupus erythematodes (LE), reumatische aandoeningen, ontstekingen van de darmen, huid, luchtwegen en ogen).
Hoe lang mag je Medrol gebruiken?
Hoe lang je het middel moet gebruiken is afhankelijk van jouw aandoening. Neem de tabletten tijdens het ontbijt in met water. Heel soms zal je arts het medicijn via een infuus of een injectie toedienen. Stop nooit zomaar met dit middel als je het langer dan 2 weken gebruikt hebt!
Is Medrol een ontstekingsremmer?
Als men een opstoot heeft, kan de dokter besluiten je Medrol te geven. Dit medicijn kan je opstoot goed te lijf gaan. Medrol remt namelijk de ontstekingsreacties (= anti-inflammatoire werking).

What is a cortisone flare?
Some patients may react to the cortisone injection with what is called a cortisone flare. A cortisone flare is a condition where the injected cortisone crystallizes and can cause a brief period of pain, worse than before the shot. This usually lasts a day or two and is best treated by icing and resting the injected area.
