In Kroatië kun je maar op weinig plekken met euro’s betalen. Een voorbeeld van waar het wél kan is bij de tolhuisjes aan de snelweg. Daar kun je met kuna’s, euro’s en met creditcard betalen (wisselgeld is altijd in kuna’s). Ook kun je in sommige hotels met euro’s betalen, of bijvoorbeeld georganiseerde excursies.
