Wat is tamsulosine HCl?
De werkzame stof van Tamsulosine HCl retard 0,4 mg Teva is tamsulosine. Dit is een selectieve α1A/1D – adrenoceptor antagonist. Het vermindert de samentrekking van de gladde spieren in prostaat en plasbuis, waardoor de urine gemakkelijker door de plasbuis kan stromen en het plassen makkelijker gaat.
Hoe lang moet je tamsulosine gebruiken?
De arts schrijft tamsulosine allereerst gedurende zes weken voor. Indien er na zes weken verbetering is opgetreden, kan de arts tamsulosine voor langere tijd voorschrijven (drie tot zes maanden). Na drie of zes maanden is het goed om op proef te stoppen.
