Hoe kan je een ileus voorkomen?
Bij een gedeeltelijke afsluiting of als afsluitingen van de darm steeds terug komen krijgt u de volgende voedingsadviezen:
- Er zijn een aantal producten die u moet vermijden.
- Gebruik voldoende vocht: 1.5 tot 2 liter per dag.
- Kies een voeding met ‘fijne’ vezels.
- Eet rustig en aandachtig.

Postoperative pain medication, particularly opioids, promotes the development or worsening of postoperative ileus due to their known inhibitory effect on gut motility.
How long does ileus last After gallbladder surgery?
There is little consensus on when the gastrointestinal tract resumes motility postoperatively. However, colonic motility, which is the last to return, is typically restored within 72hrs. Thus, postoperative ileus lasting longer than this duration is often considered pathologic.
