Wat is IHCA?
In-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (IHCA) is een gebeurtenis die een zware impact heeft. Niet alleen is het ingrijpend voor patiënt, familie en personeel, maar het levert ook een zware belasting voor de gezondheidszorg. De reanimatiezorg vereist veel organisatie en is kostbaar.
Wat is Ohca?
Jaarlijks vinden in ons land ongeveer 1.900 succesvolle reanimaties plaats na een hartstilstand buiten het ziekenhuis, ook wel Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) genoemd. Door de hartstilstand komt de circulatie van bloed tot stilstand.
