Waar code rood Eunice?
Rijkswaterstaat roept weggebruikers op om vrijdagmiddag en –avond (18 februari 2022) niet de weg op te gaan in de westelijke kustprovincies, Friesland en Flevoland. Voor deze gebieden heeft het KNMI code rood afgegeven vanwege storm Eunice.
Hoe staat het met storm Eunice?
Als gevolg van de zware storm Eunice die vrijdag over Nederland raasde, vielen vier doden. De slachtoffers zijn drie mannen en één vrouw, zo heeft de politie bekendgemaakt. Het gaat om twee Amsterdammers, één inwoner van Diemen en een inwoner van de Groningse gemeente Het Hogeland.
Welke storm voor Eunice?
Storm Eunice staat in de top 3 zwaarste stormen in ruim vijftig jaar. In de kustprovincies waarschuwden we vrijdag 18 februari met code rood voor zeer zware windstoten, in de rest van het land stond code oranje uit (m.u.v. Limburg, daar gold code geel).
Waar code rood in Nederland storm?
In Noord-Holland, Flevoland, Friesland, het IJsselmeergebied en het Waddengebied geldt nog code rood. In die laatste gebieden komen zeer zware windstoten voor van 100 tot 130 kilometer per uur.
Hoe laat piek Eunice?
Eunice (spreek uit Joenies) brengt windstoten mee tot mogelijk wel 140 kilometer per uur. De piek ligt tussen vier uur ’s middags en tien uur ’s avonds.
Hoelang houd storm Eunice aan?
In de gebieden tegen de west- en noordkust en rond het IJsselmeer wordt windkracht 9 tot 10 verwacht. Met windstoten van 130 kilometer per uur. In de rest van het land kan de storm windkracht 8 tot 9 aantrekken. Pas na middernacht zal storm Eunice voorbij zijn.
