Kan je door de pil acne krijgen?
Hoe dat zit: een pil die alleen maar progestativa bevat, kan de talgproductie bevorderen en daarmee acne juist veroorzaken of verergeren. Combinatiepillen, ofwel pillen die ook oestrogenen bevatten, beperken daarentegen juist de stimulans van de talgklieren.
Welke pil geeft geen acne?
De pil tegen acne werkt vooral door de afgifte van hormonen. Het hormoon androgeen stimuleert de aanmaak van talg, waardoor acne toeneemt. Een pil met anti-androgeenhormonen kan acne juist tegengaan. Er zijn drie anticonceptiepillen met anti-androgeenhormonen: de Diane-pil, de Yasmin-pil en de Yaz-pil.
Is de pil goed tegen acne?
De anticonceptiepil kan vaak helpen de acne te verminderen. Het effect wordt meestal na 3 tot 4 maanden zichtbaar. Het maakt hiervoor niet uit welke anticonceptiepil je gebruikt.

I was on Depo Provera about 12 years ago and it really changed my skin. I think up until I started getting it I had maybe 2 pimples my entire life and then after I was on it for 2 years my face just constanly was breaking out. I used to get a lot of cystic acne too and even after I got off it my face never got much better until about 2 years ago.
How effective is the Depo-Provera shot?
The depo-provera shot is extremely effective. s no way to tell for sure, but more and more proof is coming out that autism is NOT linked to vaccines, and because depo provera is an active hormone shot and not a vaccine, I highly doubt that it is the cause.
