Hoe werkt CGI?
Computer Generated Imagery betekent letterlijk vertaald per computer gegenereerde verbeelding. Met behulp van de computer kan dus je eigen fantasie een realistisch uiterlijk meekrijgen. Droomfiguren, gebouwen, voorwerpen je kunt het je zo gek niet bedenken. Met behulp van CGI kan alles worden gecreëerd.
Hoe wordt een 3D animatiefilm gemaakt?
Een 3D animatie wordt niet getekend, maar gemaakt met digitale hulpmiddelen en programma’s. 3D biedt veel mogelijkheden om objecten op dynamische wijze tot leven te wekken. Vaak creëer je hiermee meer dimensie dan met een 2D animatie.

The history of CGI goes back to the 1950’s, when mechanical computers were repurposed to create patterns onto animation cels which were then incorporated into a feature film. That first film which used CGI was Alfred Hitchcock’s VERTIGO (1958).
