Hoe werkt Mestinon?
Pyridostigmine remt het enzym dat acetylcholine afbreekt. Hierdoor kan de boodschapperstof langer zijn werk doen en kunnen de zenuwen de spieren beter aansturen.
Hoe lang werkt Mestinon?
Indien noodzakelijk wordt deze dosis, eventueel tot 5 à 20 dragees van 60 milligram per dag, opgevoerd totdat een geschikt effect ontstaat. Mestinon is effectief gedurende 4 uur na inname overdag en 6 uur ’s nachts.

Phenazopyridine causes the urine to turn reddish orange . This is to be expected while you are using it. This effect is harmless and will go away after you stop taking the medicine. Also, the medicine may stain clothing.
