Wat betekent DKIM?
DKIM, oftewel DomainKeys Identified Mail, is een authenticatiemethode waarmee e-mailberichten kunnen worden gewaarmerkt. Aan de hand van dit waarmerk kan de ontvanger afleiden of de e-mail daadwerkelijk van het domein van de verzender komt én of de inhoud van het bericht na het versturen door derden is gemanipuleerd.
Wat is DKIM en DMARC?
De standaarden SPF, DKIM en DMARC worden gebruikt om de integriteit (echtsheidskenmerken, e-mailauthenticatie) van e-mail te borgen, zodat ontvangers kunnen controleren of e-mails ook daadwerkelijk afkomstig zijn van de veronderstelde afzender.
Hoe stel ik DMARC in?
Dat doe je als volgt:
- Zoek naar de DNS-instellingen van je domein – bij providers meestal onder ‘Productinstellingen’
- Kies ‘Een record toevoegen’
- Selecteer TXT als het recordtype.
- Kies host / target en definieer die als _dmarc.
- Vul je DMARC record in als waarde.
- Publiceer je nieuwe record.

DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is one that helps look into an inbound email, in order to check if nothing has been altered. In case of those emails that are legitimate, DKIM would definitely be finding a digital signature which would be linked to a specific domain name.
How to create a DKIM DNS record?
Create a DKIM TXT record. Use the following steps to create a DKIM TXT record in the Cloud Control Panel: Log in to the Cloud Control Panel. In the top navigation bar, click Select a Product > Rackspace Cloud. Select Networking > Cloud DNS. Click the gear icon next to the name of an existing domain and select Add DNS Record.
