Hoe verzorg ik een Tibouchina?
Overwinter de Tibouchina net als de meeste andere kuipplanten binnen op een lichte, koele plek en geef ze tijdens de overwinteringsperiode weinig water. Overwinteren bij een temperatuur tussen +5°C en 10°C is ideaal. Vanaf maart voorzichtig wat meer water beginnen geven.
Hoe Tibouchina snoeien?
Snoeien: Snoeien van een Tibouchina urvilleana is alleen nodig als u de plant te groot vindt worden. Bij struikvorm de zwaarste cq langste takken tot ca. de helft terugsnoeien. Bij stamvorm de langste takken flink terugsnoeien. Als u de Tibouchina urvilleana wilt terugsnoeien kunt u dit het beste in februari doen.
Is Tibouchina winterhard?
De uit Zuid-Amerika afkomstige halfheester die in ons land als een exotisch ogende kuipplant wordt gehouden verdraagt geen temperaturen onder het vriespunt. How to take care of a Tibouchina?
This means that, in cold areas, a potted Tibouchina can be moved into a protected spot (even a glasshouse) for the winter, thus enabling it to survive through the cold part of the year. Choose a sunny spot with well drained soil.
