Wat betekent Myotomie?
Een uitwendige myotomie van de bovenste kringspier van de slokdarm is een beproefde en succesvolle methode om slikpassageklachten, veroorzaakt door een niet goed functionerende kringspier, langdurig te verhelpen.
Welke spieren zijn betrokken bij een incisie en het klieven?
Bij deze ingreep wordt de bovenste kringspier van de slokdarm via een snee in de hals benaderd (zie fig. 3, 4 en 5). Hierdoor kan de KNO-arts aan één kant de spier doorsnijden. De spier ontspant zich dan en het voedsel kan makkelijker passeren.
