Waarom heet het Coca Cola?
Het ‘cola’ in coca cola verwijst naar de kolanoot, het andere belangrijke ingedriënt in de frisdrank. Die schrijf je in het Engels normaal gesproken ook met een ‘k’, maar om literaire redenen (het allittereerde beter) besloot Pemberton het met een ‘c’ te spellen. Kolanoten bevatten cafeïne.
