Wat is trendelenburg functie?
De Trendelenburg functie heeft als doel een betere bloed doorstroming richting de hersenen en ook het hart. Bij de anti-Trendelenburg positie liggen de benen juiste lager dan het hoofd. Hiermee ontstaat er een betere doorbloeding naar de onderste ledematen.
Waarom slachtoffer van buik naar rug draaien?
Een beoordeling van de ademhaling is niet goed mogelijk, terwijl dat wel noodzakelijk is om de ernst van de situatie in te kunnen schatten. Bovendien zal het slachtoffer in ieder geval op de rug moeten liggen als er reanimatie nodig is. Daarom is het van buik naar rug draaien één van de eerste dingen die je moet doen.
Wat is een reden om het slachtoffer te draaien?
Indien reanimatie moet worden toegepast, moet het slachtoffer altijd op de rug gedraaid worden. Wanneer er mogelijk sprake is van wervelletsel en het slachtoffer ligt op de buik, dan wordt hij alleen omgedraaid als de ademhaling niet goed is, of wanneer deze niet goed te beoordelen is.
