Hoe lang in ziekenhuis na klaplong?
Het voert lucht en vloeistof uit je borstholte af en blijft drie tot vijf dagen zitten. Voor deze behandeling moet je naar het ziekenhuis. Je krijgt een lokale verdoving. De arts kan ook met een naald eenmalig lucht of vloeistof uit de holte halen.
Hoe werkt een thoraxdrainage?
Wat is een thoraxdrainage? Er wordt een thoraxdrain, een kunststof slangetje in de borstholte, geplaatst. Deze drain zal vocht en/of lucht afvoeren naar een opvangbak buiten het lichaam. U ondergaat deze behandeling omdat u een klaplong hebt of omdat er vocht of etter tussen de longvliezen zit.
Hoe lang duurt herstel van klaplong?
Hoe lang duurt het herstel van een klaplong? De ingezakte long komt pas weer op zijn plek terug als het gaatje in de long dicht zit en er geen lucht meer lekt. Het is heel verschillend hoe lang het duurt voordat het lek weer helemaal dicht is. Soms maar een paar dagen, soms langer.
