Welk duikbrevet?
De recreatieve duikbrevetten van PADI zijn de volgende:
- PADI Scuba Diver of Junior PADI Scuba Diver om mee te beginnen.
- Open Water Diver (OWD) of Junior Open Water Diver om zelfstandig te duiken.
- Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) is het derde brevet voor amateurs.
Wat voor materiaal is Scuba?
Scuba is een dubbel breisel, meestal gemaakt van polyester en elasthaan. Je kunt het vergelijken met neopreen, bekend van wetsuits in de surfwereld. Scuba is weliswaar wat lichter, maar heeft wel ‘body’, de stof ‘staat’.
Is Scuba stof waterdicht?
Alhoewel de gedachte vaak is dat scuba stretch vaak gebruikt wordt voor het maken van wetsuits, is dit niet vaak het geval. Het klopt dat de stof waterdicht is, en rekt met de beweging van een drager.
Wat is Scuba kwaliteit?
Scuba is een kwaliteit die is ontleend aan de duiksport, aan de stof neopreen die gebruikt wordt voor duikpakken. Net als neopreen is scuba een foam-achtig materiaal, maar dan veel soepeler en lichter van gewicht én bedoeld om mode van te maken in plaats van functionele sportkleding. Scuba is een dubbelbreisel.

The residents of New Netherland requested protection from the Dutch East India Company, who refused, not seeing the necessity.
